Leave your drugs in the chemist’s pot if you can heal the patient with food – Hippocrates
I have always had a passion for food, healthy eating and the workings of the human body, and after working in London for several years mainly in Broadcast Media, I felt it was time to turn my love into a qualification and potential future career. After three years of studying, I gained a diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition at the renowned College of Naturopathic Medicine in London which provided me with the tools I needed to set up a practice of my own. I feel strongly that education is the key to a foundation of healthy eating, and with so many conflicting messages and constantly changing research, I aim to use my up-to-date knowledge to guide and support, with the ultimate goal of improving your health and vitality.
Having recently become a mother I have a particular interest in women’s health issues, including fertility/sub optimal fertility, pre & post natal health (optimum pregnancy health, breastfeeding support, postnatal weight loss etc) and baby & toddler nutrition.
I regularly attend seminars, lectures and workshops for my CPD (Continued Professional Development), a minimum of 30 hours a year, to ensure I stay on top of the most current research. As a full member of BANT (British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy) I experience the benefits of being associated with a professional body. I also have fully comprehensive professional liability insurance.
In addition to Jo Saunders Nutrition, I also work as an Independent Consultant for Neals Yard Remedies which is the ideal adjunct to Nutritional Therapy. I am a huge advocate for quality chemical-free skincare and Neals Yard products epitomise this, using therapeutic essential oils throughout their product range that feel genuinely luxurious and are simply a pleasure to use.
